The People That Walked In Darkness Have Seen A Great Light: Isaiah 9:2

You no longer have to walk in darkness!

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. Isaiah 9:2

Isaiah chapter 9 teaches us about the Messiah, Jesus Christ, who came as a baby so that you and I no longer have to walk in the darkness of our sin.  The Son has come, God's greatest gift! Through Jesus Christ you can know real joy this Christmas season! The joy of sins forgiven, the joy of having daily hope, the joy of knowing you have eternal life!

Jesus said this about His ministry:

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. Luke 4:18

God gave His only begotten son so that you and I can become the children of God!

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:10-13

Do you know this Prince of Peace? Do you know the One who was born so that He could take the wrath of God for you?

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:and the government shall be upon his shoulder:and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom,to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justicefrom henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6-7

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Romans 5:1-2
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Romans 5:6-11

If you do not know the Messiah, come now and believe on the Child who is the Savior of the World and experience the light of God's love!!

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:21-23

Join us at Madison Baptist Church this Christmas season as we worship the Son who came into the world to save all of us and give to all of us eternal life in Him!
