America needs a spiritual awakening!

Take time to pray for the United States of America. America's sins are many. 

Many Americans everyday violate the clear teaching of God's Word. What are these sins? 

Here is a brief list: abortion, adultery, aggression, animosity, dishonesty, hatred, hedonism, homosexuality, laziness, redefinition of marriage, redefinition of gender, self-admiration, stealing, theft, self-righteousness, and the list goes on.

God's Word makes it very clear in James 2:10:

For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

The point of this verse is you break one of God's "rules" you are no longer holy.  You are a lawbreaker. Therefore, since you are a lawbreaker, you stand guilty before a righteous and holy God and justly deserve His judgement. If you and I are honest, all of us are guilty before God.  The Bible says rightly in Romans 3:10ff:

Romans 3:10-18
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: ¹¹ There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. ¹² They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. ¹³ Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: ¹⁴ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: ¹⁵ Their feet are swift to shed blood: ¹⁶ Destruction and misery are in their ways: ¹⁷ And the way of peace have they not known: ¹⁸ There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Since we are all guilty, we all desperately need a Savior.  That Savior is Jesus Christ.  Jesus Christ is the Savior of all humanity.

1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; ⁶ Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Jesus Christ is the only One who can rescue lost sinners destined for judgment and hell and make them righteous before a holy God, giving them eternal life.  

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; ⁴ And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

The only way to receive this forgiveness of sin is to place your faith in Jesus Christ, calling upon Him for salvation.

America desperately needs the grace and forgiveness found only in Jesus Christ. America needs its people to turn from their wicked ways and trust in the Living God who alone gives eternal life.  The Bible makes it clear that only through faith alone in His Son Jesus Christ can salvation from God's judgment be found. 

Pray for the Lord to open the eyes of our people so our people can see their need to repent of their sin.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. 

 John 10:9-10 I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Psalm 55:16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.

Psalm 145:19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.

2 Chronicles 7:14
If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Now is the time to pray for the Lord to heal our land. Now is the time to entreat the Lord to open Americans' eyes so they can turn from their sin. Now is the time to ask for Him to have mercy on our country. If we don't ask God for help, our nation will self destruct because of its sin. Just look at all the violence everywhere in America's cities! Sin destroys! Without God's grace shed on us, our nation is doomed. In addition, if you know that you are currently living in sin--now is the time to confess and forsake the sin (1 John 1:9)!  Turn from your wicked way (Galatians 5:1)!

Our nation has many citizens slaves to sin. Many in our country live everyday thinking only evil continually. 

God makes it clear in His Word that judgement is certainly coming to the sinner:

Obadiah 1:15 For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head. 

 

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

 

Acts 17:30-31 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

Romans 1:18-20 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.

Yet, while we have today, we still have an opportunity to seek forgiveness from the Lord. If we turn from our sin now, our nation can receive God's blessing.  If we turn back to the Lord, He will forgive and restore. Only in Christ do we have freedom (Galatians 5:1; Galatians 5:13).  Without Him, we are slaves to sin awaiting judgement. God cannot bless and will oppose an America that stands in opposition to the Righteousness of God.

Did God not have mercy on the wicked city of Nineveh in the days of Jonah? God desires to have mercy on our country--we just need to seek His face with a humble repentant heart.

Jonah 2: 7-8 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. 8They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.

 Jonah 4:11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

 

Only in the Lord is joy. Only in the Lord is freedom.  Only in the Lord is life. Only in the Lord is peace. Only in the Lord is security. The way of the Lord is the best way for everyone. Come today and join the highway of holiness (Isaiah 35:8).

 

If you today are a slave to sin--come now and be free.  Know true liberty in salvation through Jesus Christ! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be transformed by His grace into a new person who is forgiven forever and possesses life eternal. 

John 11:25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
