Recent Sermons from Madison Baptist Church

Preaching God's Word is central in the ministry of the church. 

A church should not be known for its programs or its entertainment--that can happen at any business or ball game.  A church that is a biblical church, should have the preaching and teaching of God's Word as one of the key parts of its ministry. 

We invite you to listen to some of the recent messages from Madison Baptist Church.  

In addition, we invite you to come in person and join us at 11AM each Sunday as we sing the great hymns of the faith, fellowship with God's people, pray as the body of Christ, and hear the preaching of God's Word! 

Below are several verses from God's Word that demonstrate how important doctrine, and the Word of God is to the church: 

Psalms 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalms 119:133
Order my steps in thy word:
and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Amos 8:11-12
¹¹ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD,
that I will send a famine in the land,
not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the LORD:
¹² And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east,
they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

Acts 2:42
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Romans 10:14-17
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! ¹⁶ But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? ¹⁷ So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
